A Chill-out Night @ Boat Quay

29 08 2008

Today is 15 August 2008 (Friday).
This evening, I met up with Yongsen, Eric and Liangji @ The Central, Clarke Quay. Later, we then crossed over to the other side to have our dinner @ The Fishermen’s Wharf.

After finishing our dinner, we then went over to Boat Quay (BQ) for a few glasses of drink. As usual, we walked up and down the whole stretch of KTV pubs deciding which one to enter. Finally, we decided to go into a KTV pub called “The White Bar”. Inside, we ordered a jug of beer and there we go…playing dice games, chatting and looking @ girls. Haha…

After our 1st jug of beer, we then decided to go to another KTV pub for the 2nd jug. Again we strolled up and down the whole stretch of road to choose another KTV pub. Friday night @ BQ was very happening. There were a lot of crowds @ BQ, be it the locals, tourists or expatriates (whom are mostly Westerners). Hence, most pubs were packed with people.

Finally after much walking, we managed to find a KTV pub which hadn’t ‘Full House’ yet. This 2nd KTV pub which we patronized was called Pub 85. Actually this pub is one which has hostresses to serve you. Most of the hostresses were young and trendy. Their main job duty (as far as I know) is to chat and entertain their customers. During our patron there, I was ’entertained’ by some of them. They are really very good in their PR skills…keep on persuading us to buy more jugs of beer. Heng~ we were able to withstand all their sweet talks and escaped from their skillful buy over.

It was 1.30am when we left the pub. We then walked over to the bus stop @ Esplanade to take the Night Rider home. Now then I know, the Night Rider to my home is NR1 (by SMRT bus service) and N1 (by SBS Transit). Pai say hor, I long time never go chiong liao…Haha.

Me & My Motorola W270

29 08 2008

Today is 29 July 2008 (Tues).
This afternoon, I went to Toa Payoh Central to buy my Motorola W270. Actually a couple of days ago, I have already asked the salesperson @ Planet Telecom (Toa Payoh) to help me reserved a set.

The phone was retailed @ S$118 but was sold to me @ S$98 given that I have the National Day Parade (NDP)’08 Motorola’s voucher.

Actually, this Motorola W270 is a very basic mobile handset. There is no camera, no wifi, no 3G, small LCD screen etc. However, I have chosen this phone because it does not have camera BUT it does come with a Mp3 player, FM radio, speakerphone function and an expandable memory card slot (up to 2GB). Most importantly, it is a sleek flip phone.

In fact, I am using this handset as my secondary phone mainly for my online business (via eBay Singapore). I have already intended to get a new prepaid SIM card (most probably from Starhub) for this phone. It will be easier for me to communicate with my buyers with a separate new mobile no. (to be used only for my online business purposes) ‘cos I always feel insecure for giving out my personal mobile no. to my buyers. Hehe…Scared of misuses e.g. prank calls etc.

Besides, I can also use my W270 for my annual in-camp training since it meets all the MINDEF requirements for mobile phones (to be used in army camps).

A Belated Birthday Dinner @ Sakae Sushi, Marina Square

29 08 2008

Today is 26 July 2008 (Sat).
This evening, I met up with Yongsen & Eric @ Suntec City/Marina Square for my belated birthday dinner. After much choosing for a place to dine-in, we finally decided on Sakae Sushi @ Marina Square.

At Sakae Sushi, I ordered a rice bowl (Chicken Teriyaki) for my dinner. Besides, I also eaten a few plates of sushi which I have picked up from the conveyor belt.

This year, apart from getting a birthday dinner treat @ Sakae Sushi from Yongsen, Eric & Liangji, I also received a white polo tee (purchased from The Signature by Levi Strauss & Co.) from the 3 of them.

Thank you all of you for the dinner treat as well as the gift. I appreciate it very much.

Moi 27th Birthday

28 08 2008

Today is 24 July 2008 (Thurs).
Time really flies. It’s another “July 24″ again. Once again, I am 1 year older. 27 this year…To some, it may be considered old but to others I am still young & youthful. Haha…

This year, my birthday seems rather silent or less happening…Unlike last year, where I got dinner treat from my family, a birthday cake etc but this year…I only have a simple dinner @ home and no birthday cake…Haha.

Actually, I also do not ask for much…given my age, what can I still expect? A birthday party @ KFC or McDonald meh?! Anyway, I am already very happy @ least my family and good friends still remember my birthday.

Thank you for all your birthday wishing (be it via sms, msn or phone call).

Moi 1st Practical Driving Lesson @ SSDC

28 08 2008

Today is 23 July 2008 (Wed).
This afternoon, I went to the Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC) to have my 1st practical driving lesson.

At 1.05pm, I met up with my driving instructor. My 1st SSDC driving instructor was a Malay uncle in his late 50’s. He was very patient in teaching me all the basic stuff despite the fact that I have already acquired most of them during my National Service (NS) days in the army.

My 1st day @ SSDC learning practical driving was rather smooth. I am very happy that @ least I did not waste my time during my NS days. See…I still managed to acquire some useful driving skills during my NS. Haha…At least for now, I do not need to start from scratch.
