Working in CAAS really offers me alot of 独家 privileges. Some of the privileges are listed below.

On 29th May 2007, I went to catch a glimpse of the Taiwanese cutie celebrity 杨丞琳 in the Changi Airport Restricted/Transit Area. She was actually here for a 1 day promotional tour for her movie “Spider Lilies”. Half an hour before the arrival of the EVA airplane which she took, my other intern-mates & I were already waited excitedly outside the gate for her. About 10mins after the plane landed, we then saw her strolling out from the gate with the companion of her 保母, staffs, airport polices, airport ground officer etc. Since it is a restricted area, hence, not many people crowded around her and no media was there to flash their cameras. However, there were just a handful of local & taiwanese travellers who recognized her and busy chit chatting about her among themselves. As for the distance between she & us were like a mere of 1 meter away nieh. It was damn close lo…Despite the proximity, I cannot really see her clearly. She was clad in a long coat and wore a big sunglasses lo….seems like everything is covered up…Besides that, the airport polices that surrounded her seems to block my view also….Damn!
As she stepped into the public area (Arrival Hall), there was a “Hoo Ha” among the crowds which comprised mainly her fans and the media. Haha, came to think, its not a bad idea doing intern in CAAS lo. At least, u can catch a sight of the celebrities @ your comfort. Haha….
Enjoying “独家 Event” organised by Changi Airport
On 29th May 2007, @ 6pm, all the employees in my deptm (including me) went to watch the Elmo & Cookie Monster Show held @ the Nexus Lounge inside the Transit/Restricted area. Actually, there is nothing much about the show. It is simply a show to entertain the kids. Nevertheless, 2 of my ntu-interns & I were given a chance to go onto the stage to take photo with the Elmo & Cookie Monster togather. Quite cute la…those cartoon characters from the “Sesame Street” but I still prefer the Big Bird….Haha…
Entitlement to Perfume Discounts
As a staff in CAAS, I get to enjoy the perfume discounts. Most of the prices in the DFS perfume stores are already very cheap as compared to those selling outside the airport. Hence, with the discounts offer to the staff, it makes the prices of the perfumes look even more ATTRACTIVE! Haha….Staff discounts on Hugo Boss series=20%, CK series=20%, Clinique series=5%. Really a GOOD BUY lo…
Afternnon Nap & Retail Therapy
Thinking of napping during your lunch break & yet cannot find a comfortable place to sleep? Haha, the sleeping beds and comfortable cushioned seats provided in the transit area certainly allow u to sleep soundly when u intend to take a lunch nap. Usually, when I am feeling sleepy during my lunch break, I will go and have a light lunch (snacks) in the transit area followed by taking a nap in the sofa provided in front of the MTV channel area. Sleeping while listening/watching the MTV was a damn relaxation for me lo….Haha…
Sometimes, when I get bored in the office doing nothing, I will jio some of my ntu-interns to go inside the transit area to walk/shop lo….Usually, we will go T1 & T2 to walk walk….

Above are some of the privileges which I am currently enjoying while working in CAAS. Of ‘cos there are still alot more which I have yet to find out….Anyway, I am determine to find out the rest of them one by one….to really MAKE FULL USE of the privileges…Hey C’mon I am oredi underpaid for being intern @ CAAS….so instead of going for monetary compensation (highly impossible), I am now going for non-monetary incentives. Haha…
