Moi 27th Birthday

28 08 2008

Today is 24 July 2008 (Thurs).
Time really flies. It’s another “July 24″ again. Once again, I am 1 year older. 27 this year…To some, it may be considered old but to others I am still young & youthful. Haha…

This year, my birthday seems rather silent or less happening…Unlike last year, where I got dinner treat from my family, a birthday cake etc but this year…I only have a simple dinner @ home and no birthday cake…Haha.

Actually, I also do not ask for much…given my age, what can I still expect? A birthday party @ KFC or McDonald meh?! Anyway, I am already very happy @ least my family and good friends still remember my birthday.

Thank you for all your birthday wishing (be it via sms, msn or phone call).

Moi 1st Practical Driving Lesson @ SSDC

28 08 2008

Today is 23 July 2008 (Wed).
This afternoon, I went to the Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC) to have my 1st practical driving lesson.

At 1.05pm, I met up with my driving instructor. My 1st SSDC driving instructor was a Malay uncle in his late 50’s. He was very patient in teaching me all the basic stuff despite the fact that I have already acquired most of them during my National Service (NS) days in the army.

My 1st day @ SSDC learning practical driving was rather smooth. I am very happy that @ least I did not waste my time during my NS days. See…I still managed to acquire some useful driving skills during my NS. Haha…At least for now, I do not need to start from scratch.

My Family Trip @ Qian Hu Fish Farm

28 08 2008

Today is 22 July 2008 (Tues).
After attending my convocation ceremony @ NTU, my family and I decided to go to Qian Hu Fish Farm for a Fish Spa Therapy.

We reached Qian Hu Fish Farm at around 3.30pm. Immediately, we went to buy the tickets for the Fish Spa Therapy. Each ticket costs S$10/pax for 30 mins. With our tickets, we then proceeded to the fish pool for the spa therapy. The initial dip of our legs into the fish pool was so shiok but yet itchy! One has to get used to it and it will be OK. There were actually 2 sizes of fishes for you to choose. 1 is the big fishes while the other is the smaller one.

We soaked our legs and enjoyed our Fish Spa Therapy for about 45 mins (in fact, we should have paid additional charges for the extra 15 mins of service but the salespax did not request from us neither do anyone chased us out ). While we were enjoying our fish spa-ing, my nephew (together with my Dad) was enjoying themselves feeding the fishes and tortoises in another pool. My nephew was so happy.

It was about 5.30pm when we left Qian Hu Fish Farm and headed our way home.

My NTU-NBS Convocation 2008

28 08 2008

Today is 22 July 2008 (Tues).
This morning, my whole family (except my 2nd sister ‘cos she was in Bangkok) woke up very early preparing to attend my convocation ceremony.

We managed to reach NTU @ 9.45am. Though, we are not late but seems like most of the people have already taken their seats in the Nanyang Auditorium. After I put on my graduation gown, we then proceeded into the Nanyang Auditorium to take our respective seats.

At 10am, the convocation ceremony begun. After much talks and speeches given by the invited guests, we were then required to go up the stage one by one to take our stage photo as well as an empty folder for our degree certificate.

At around 12 noon, the whole convocation ceremony ended. Then all of us were invited to proceed to the School of Biological Science to have our refreshments. I met up with my family outside the Nanyang Auditorium to take some family photos. Then, I asked them to go and have some refreshments while I went to look for my friends to continue my photo taking.

It was about 2.30pm when we left NTU.

After attending my convocation ceremony, I felt very relieved and happy. Finally, I have completed my university studies and managed to obtain an acceptable GPA as well as a Degree in Business with a 2nd Class Honours (Lower Division). At least, all my time and efforts for these 3 years have not been wasted. Now, I can officially declare myself as a NTU Graduate! Haha…

Dinner @ Chong Pang Nasi Lemak

28 08 2008

Today is 21 July 2008 (Mon).
This evening, my brother drove us (me, my mum, my elder sister & her son) to Sembawang Road (near Khatib Camp) to eat Chong Pang Nasi Lemak. Compared to Puggol Nasi Lemak, the Chong Pang one is relatively cheaper (reasonable prices) & nicer. Their service is also very good.

After our dinner @ Chong Pang Nasi Lemak, we then moved over to its neighbour who is selling 豆花 and pastries for our desserts. Tonight, our dessert included 豆花油条, soya bean milk and egg tarts.

After our desserts, my brother then drove us back home.
