Looking Back 2006

Wow…time really flies. We are approaching the end of the year again. Year 2006 is indeed a rewarding year for me. I have gained a number of my major “1st time” experience in this wonderful year! Apart from that, I have also fulfilled some of my wishes that I have set in the begining of the year. Well, I think that for me, the 2nd part of the year 2006 is deems more happening than the 1st part….haha maybe to be more precise, I should have said that I have forgotten most of the events that have occurred in the 1st part of 2006…maybe this makes it sounds better.
Listed below are some of the major “1st time” experiences that I have gained in Year 2006:
1) 1st time to be able to participate in the Singapore General Election Voting 2006
2) 1st time to participate in a nationwide star searching competition “Project Superstar 2”
3) 1st time to sing infront of public crowd and so many people both in the Project Superstar 2 audition and my uni singing elective GV17
4) 1st time to leave my AMK home (a home where I have stayed for 25 years) for such a long period of time and stay put in my sis’s house in Depot Rd for 1 month+ when mine was under major renovation
5) 1st time to go to Thailand Bangkok
6) 1st time to go Korea
7) 1st time to experience a white winter
8) 1st time to try snow ski
9) 1st time to see snow capped mountain
10) 1st time studying in the same school as my brother…though different faculty but we mug during our exam togather.
11) 1st time went to a professional gym —–> Califonia Gym

Listed below are some of the wishes/accomplishments that I have fufilled in Year 2006:
1) Visited Bangkok. This has always been a favorite destination of mine. This is because it has been a wonderful shopping paradise and it offers a wide variety of shopping goods @ really cheap price.
2) Visited Korea. Korea has always been my 1st priority far-away destination which I longed to visit. Finally @ the end of year 2006, I am able to go there. Cold white winter, snow ski, snow capped mountain and the korean culture are alway the things that I want to see, experience and learn.

Apart from the aforementioned activities that I have experienced in year 2006, there are some othe minor things that I personally have go through too that maybe worth mentioning or remembering. However, maybe they are too minor hence, I don’t really can recall. Haha…yeah, as one grows older, their short term memory will also increase.

In year 2006, I think I shall mention also about the renovation of my house. Its has been 25 years of staying in my home in AMK. In mid year 2006, we renovate our kitchen, toilet, doors etc, paint the whole house, change all the electricity, circuit etc. Now my home looks more lively, fresh, new, vibrant etc. Despite the new looks…the feeling is still the SAME…the same old HOME feeling that always live in my heart! Besides that, I also got a newly assembled PC & finally got myself connected with broadband. Furthermore, on 25 Oct, I also have a new member in my family…he is my currently 3mths old nephew, Brayden. On the whole, year 2006 is a wonderful year for me. Besides my personal & home affairs, our country is doing well both in the economic and social perspectives. The world is doing fine too. Peaceful generally.

I hope year 2007 is another promising year ahead….Looking forward to that!
